aloha brighton ashtangis!
i’m almost afraid to tell you where i am. here in maui, hawaii!!! the yoga is great and surf is up!!! elaine & i even stood up the other day. studying with nancy gilgoff, who is my favorite teacher…learin lots and having lots of fun in her chilled out maui style shala. about 15 of us practice every morning in ideal conditions. we do mostly mysore but she sneaks a few led classes with quick vinyasas in just to make sure we’re not fidgiting too much getting into poses. and there’s the best health food store that we’ve ever come across. all organic, local produce and yummy healthy things…ahhhh i could get fat!
one of my newest food passions…i always have one…is dragon fruit…comes in 3 colors…white, pink and red…red being the yummiest…fantastic for breakfast with yogurt and granola. only thing is i finally looked at the receipt the other day and discovered that they’re about $8 each. so now i have to ration myself. but we’re staying on a property with passion fruit trees and guava, avocado, banana, lechee nuts etc. so all is well. unbelievable!!!
lots of beaches to be discovered, some with turtles and the whales are due in at any time…maui’s so lovely even whales come her for holiday. and then, still the volcano and her many hikes in and around to explore.
and nancy’s assistant casy..not only is a fantastic adjuster/teacher but also is a rodeo cowgirl. tomorrow we go to see her perform the barrels in the rodeo! maybe i’ll post a youtube video if i can get one.
been thinking of everyone and hope your still givin sarah a run for her money. looking forward to seeing you all in april.
much love,
shari
Hey Shari,
Aawww! I’m so jealous – Maui sounds awesome!
As I’m writing it’s pouring with rain outside 🙁
But it is a moon day so it’s nice to have a break.
Sounds like you guys are having a great time out there and it’s good to hear from ya!
Off to Russell and Sally’s workshop next weekend so it’ll be good to see them again.
Much love to you both from Brighton!
Namaste
Guy
